Dr Ghassan Al-Yassari

After he had successfully finished his higher surgical training, he had an upper limb trauma fellowship in Salzburg, Austria. He also had one year fellowship level training in upper limb surgery at King’s College Hospital, London, United Kingdom. Between Jan 2010 and June 2014, Dr Ghassan had worked as consultant orthopaedic surgeon in North West London Healthcare hospitals, and BMI Clementine Churchill Hospital, London, UK, and, since June 2014 he has been working as senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon and director of training and education at Khoula Hospital, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. He also holds the position of senior lecturer in Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman.
Dr Ghassan offers world class care for patients with upper limb’s trauma and orthopaedic problems, particularly shoulder pain, shoulder rotator cuff tear, shoulder instability, elbow pain, Dupuytren contracture, trigger finger, ganglion, and carpal tunnel syndrome. He has special interest and extensive experience in shoulder arthroscopic procedure, shoulder replacement, elbow and wrist arthroscopic procedure, Dupuytren contracture release, carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, and ganglion excision.
Dr Ghassan holds an MB ChB degree in Medicine and surgery, A master degree in trauma and orthopaedic from University of London, and FRCS, and FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedic) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.
He has several cited publications in international orthopaedic Journals, and participated in many international orthopaedic scientific conferences as invited speaker. Dr Ghassan, also, chaired and organized Oman first shoulder and knee conference in January 2016, and he is a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society.
